a. Announcements and Highlights since last meeting
b. Push in Phoenix for Industrial Ventilation Track Programs
c. Saw what was approved for Orlando 18 forums submitte,3, 10 workshops, 4 approved, 4 debates 2 approved . Debates, then seminars, then workshops seem to get approved. Would like to try to get a few ideas going, get 2 on the docket
d. Brian attended his local ASHRAE chapter meeting in TN, and will do one in Fort Wayne, IN, doing dust collection / SPC 199 talks. Got good feedback from first one. Should consider doing that for Phoenix.

b. Handbook Committee Liaison – Elizabeth Goll.
i. Congratulations on 2025 publication, time to think on 2028 handbook, which needs to be submitted in 2027
ii. We have one chapter
iii. Elizabeth needs to know the scope of expected changes for the 2028 handbook chapter

9. Subcommittee Reports

i. Successful submission of 2025 Handbook chapter
ii. Will set up next handbook committee meeting for early March
b. Research Evan Reese
i. No update
c. Standards Dan Rousseau
i. Standards Meeting was in person only, so Dan could not attend
ii. A lot of work on Energy, and new standards related to Wildfires
iii. Going to a 2/3 vote on Standards from a majority – may have some impact
iv. Dan hopes to update us after the Wednesday Standards meeting
d. Programs KJ Choi/Randi Huckaby
i. Deadline for program submissions is Feb 26 for Phoenix
ii. Randi sent an email with 6 different ideas, narrowed down from 10
iii. Has good content on the first 3 ideas
iv. Randy and Dan to try to finalize next week, have most of the work done, so feel like we could submit at least 2 if not 3 before Feb 26.
v. Track 5 is Industrial Ventilation
vi. Kevin is on Industrial Ventilation Committee, and they are working on a location for a 2027 meeting. Kevin would like us to get involved to generate programs for that. We can start that work once the location is decided.
vii. Randi to set up a meeting for Weds or Thursday of next week (Feb 19 or 20)

a. Review and Revisions of Standard 199.
i. Status of Current Revision Wells
1. Brian to speak with Alex after this meeting to coordinate an update, with idea of trying to publish by June 2025
ii. Emissions & Power Small Group Updates Mathews/Rousseau/Clements
1. Discussing between use of particle counter and photometer - can we get similar results? Dan Rousseau to do some more testing to generate data. VDI looking at similar things for their update.
2. Eurovent has published a new publication on fans. equivalent to AMCA 210 standard. Have a way to calculate fan costs, energy use. We should review this. (Clements). We have the current Air Filtration Eurovent publication, 4/21-2019, listed as a reference. It can be downloaded from the Eurovent website
b. Open discussion of Standard 199 and how to improve commercial adoption
i. Programs: Can we do more programs to increase awareness?
ii. Local Chapter Presentations: Chapters want content for meetings. ASHRAE has an app where you can see where your local chapters are, and you can email the chairs.
1. Brian to send out the presentation he has been using to all, and place on Basecamp for us to use in this format. Reach out to Brian also if you want a copy.
iii. Metrics: What to measure for “success” of commercial adoption?
1. ASHRAE’s sales of the standard (Geoff Crosby to find this metric and what is available for data related to the sale) (Julia Timberman at ASHRAE)
2. Other?
iv. Rating System? i.e. A or B or C, or 5 stars, or etc. Eurovent may have this so we could develop something in that manner. Look at Eurovent 4/21. The idea here is instead of just data output, a rating system would make it easy at a glance to identify higher performing dust collectors.

i. Mist Collection Rousseau
1. Rough Title: Develop a method of test for Oil Mist Collectors
2. Dan has a subcommittee for this: Brian, Jack, Tim volunteered
3. Have been discussing ideas and work statements
4. Will try submit for March.

ii. Emissions – Data & Measurements Alex Wells
1. Dan, Alex, Brian. No update. Brian to follow up with Alex.
2. ISO TC145 is the emissions side for ISO (Clements).
3. Could we correlate ISO 11057 flat sheet tests with real world emissions? That could be an interesting research project.
