Meeting Documents

Download documents from previous committee meetings below according to the appropriate society year. ASHRAE's society year begins on July 1 and ends June 30.

Tip: The following section can be edited by the webmaster as needed. It does not have to be about Whitepapers. You can edit that to be anything. To add, delete or reposition sections of the accordion, use the concentric arrows button in the editing toolbar at the top. When typing or inserting text into an accordion and there is more than one paragraph, you MUST use "shift + enter" between paragraphs. Be sure that you do not accidentally just use the "enter" key to separate the paragraphs. It will look OK but after you publish the page, the text after the 'enter' may no longer be editable.

Other Publications

Additional documents produced by the TC may be available for direct download or for purchase through the ASHRAE Bookstore, as noted below.

ASHRAE members have free access to research project final reports. Non-ASHRAE members can purchase research reports for $30 per article from the ASHRAE Bookstore found at this link.

Laboratory Design Guide: Planning and Operation of Laboratory HVAC Systems

ASHRAE's Laboratory Design Guide has been organized and developed to provide owners, designers, contractors, and operators with key information on the essential requirements for achieving high quality laboratory facilities. This design guide can be used for the design, troubleshooting, and operation of laboratory facilities or as a comprehensive reference. The design guide progresses from project inception through operations and includes chapters on: Laboratory Planning, Design Process, Exhaust Hoods, Primary Air Systems, Process Cooling, Air Treatment, Exhaust Stack Design, Energy Recovery, Controls, Airflow Patterns and Air Balance, Operation and Maintenance, Laboratory Commissioning Process, HVAC System Economics and finally, Microbiological and Biomedical Laboratories.

This Guide may be purchased from the ASHRAE on-line bookstore by clicking the highlighted text.

Classification of Laboratory Ventilation Design Levels

This document provides background information to help classify, design, and operate LACSs according to the LVDL table included in the appendix (Table 3). The table describes criteria, design attributes, and operating specifications associ-
ated with each LVDL. The purpose of the LVDL classification system and Table A are to foster communication between stakeholders when evaluating the protective capability of an existing LACS or during discussions about design, con-
struction, and operation of a new LACS intended to manage and control airborne chemical hazards.

This document may be downloaded free from the ASHRAE website.

Presentations from TC sponsored seminars can be downloaded here, if available.
